Spain's First 'Outsider' Art Museum

It was also Martine Soria, the curator of El Arte Singular, the first major 'outsider' art exhibition in Spain, whose idea it was to establish the first museum in Spain dedicated to the presentation of this type of art.

Herself a native of Valencia, Martine sought and obtained government support for this concept that eventually was to lead to the establishment of the Museo del Arte Singular in Altea, just north of Benidorm on Spain's Costa Blanca.

Martine selected my four works from El Arte Singular for inclusion in the permanent collection of the museum.
