Current Exhibitions / Work in ProgressAt the moment I have no solo exhibitions planned for the remainder of 2007 and beyond. 2006 was an extremely busy year, organising my participation in several major overseas group exhibitions - The Other Face of the Moon - Raw Art (Lastra a Signa, Italy - March 2006), RAF 2006 (Valencia, Spain - October 2006) and RAF 2007 (New York - January 2007). On the local scene I took part in several group shows in Hobart - Women Tasmania's International Women's Day 'Material Girl' Exhibition in March, a special Senior Women's Exhibition also organised by Women Tasmania later in the year and the CAST Annual Members' Exhibition in December. These activities, combined with health problems associated with my ongoing chronic fatigue and several family issues that arose during the year, proved to be as much as I could cope with and unfortunately left me with very little time or energy for painting. It was a great pleasure to be reunited with overseas and interstate family members for my 70th birthday in November, but it was also quite tiring both physically and emotionally and on the eve of my birthday our youngest son Iain was diagnosed with a serious cancer. Fortunately, his treatment is progressing well and given his age and his state of health his doctors are hopeful of a full recovery, but the past five months have been very worrying ones and Iain's health will continue to be a concern in coming months. During the rest of this year we plan to spend more time at our country cottage - I'm confident this will help revive my energy and the will to paint. Meanwhile, I have been able to do some new work - photos of two recent paintings are shown opposite.
